Beth McClure M.Ed. is certified in learning disabilities, special education, elementary education, and as a reading specialist. She holds certifications as a Principal and Special Education Administrator. As an experienced teacher trainer, she has taught graduate level courses in reading, assessment, and learning disabilities. Ms. McClure has worked with students in public and private schools, maintained private clients, and has done educational evaluations.

Ms. McClure is a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. Since 1993 she has been an Orton-Gillingham Practitioner having trained several years under the mentorship of Emi Flynn.

Ms. McClure is a frequent learning disabilities advocate for dyslexic students and their families. Her volunteer work in the field includes serving on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire branch of the International Dyslexia Association.

In 2007 she cofounded the Strong Foundations Charter School in Pembroke New Hampshire. Strong Foundations' mission is to demonstrate the effectiveness of using the Orton-Gillingham approach at the elementary level in order to double the national average of students reading proficiently by the fourth grade.
